East Paulding Raiders JV Defeats Alexander Despite Allowing 3-Run Inning
Alexander scored three runs in the first inning, but East Paulding Raiders JV still won 6-5 on Thursday. S Eppard, O Bedevvbaugh, and J Warnock each drove in runs during the inning.
Alexander opened up an early lead in the first inning when Warnock doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
East Paulding Raiders JV took the lead for good with four runs in the second inning. In the second Emma Howey singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run and Finley Jones doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring three runs.
Austyn Barber earned the win for East Paulding Raiders JV. The tosser allowed seven hits and five runs over five innings, striking out two and walking one.
Bedembaugh took the loss for Alexander. The Cougar allowed three hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out two and walking zero. Warnock started the game for Alexander. The pitcher surrendered six runs on six hits over two innings.
East Paulding Raiders JV tallied nine hits in the game. Jones, Barber, and Kayla Helms each racked up multiple hits for East Paulding Raiders JV. Helms, Barber, and Jones all had two hits to lead East Paulding Raiders JV.
