East Paulding Raiders Overcomes Carrollton Trojans In Face Of Early 3-Run Inning
The Raiders managed through a push by Carrollton in the fifth inning where East coughed up three runs, but the Raiders still won 11-3 on Monday. #2 and #1 each drove in runs during the inning. East Paulding Raiders got things started in the first inning. Madison Moreland drove in two when Moreland singled.
East Paulding notched four runs in the fourth inning. Kayla Berry and Reagan Waller all drove in runs in the frame. Bri Cazares took the win for East. The pitcher lasted five innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out four. #11 was in the pitcher’s circle for Carrollton. She surrendered four runs on five hits over one inning, walking one. #4 threw three innings out of the bullpen.
East launched two home runs on the day. Berry had a homer in the third inning. Waller had a long ball in the fourth inning. The Raiders collected 16 hits. Graci Summers, Amberleigh Hawn, Berry, Ansleigh Broome, Waller, and Addie Heal each racked up multiple hits. Summers led the Raiders with three hits in four at bats. #4 went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Carrollton in hits.
