Rena Of East Paulding Raiders Varsity Shuts Out Paulding County

Rena Fraga didn’t allow a single run as East Paulding Raiders Varsity defeated the Paulding County Patriots 9-0 on Thursday. Fraga allowed just six hits.

The Raiders secured the victory thanks to six runs in the seventh inning. East Paulding’s big inning was driven by singles by Ansleigh Broome and Hannah Davis and a home run by Madison Moreland. In the second inning, East got their offense started. Kayla Berry grounded out, scoring one run. The Raiders tallied six runs in the seventh inning. Broome, Moreland, and Davis each had RBIs in the frame.

One bright spot for Paulding County was a single by #8 in the first inning.

Fraga earned the win for East. The lefty allowed six hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out five and walking zero. #9 led things off on the rubber for Paulding County. The bulldog went seven innings, allowing nine runs on 13 hits, striking out six and walking one.

East Paulding Raiders tallied one home run on the day. Moreland had a dinger in the seventh inning. East collected 13 hits. Amberleigh Hawn, Broome, Reagan Waller, Davis, and Berry all managed multiple hits. Hawn led East Paulding with three hits in four at bats. Defense was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Davis made the most plays with ten. #8 went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Patriots in hits.
